Responsibility and Blame

Taking responsibility must be divorced from blame, because the word’s etymology, or rather its constituents - response and ability - did not intend or even allow any room for the word blame. Responsibility is about responding to a state of affairs with ability; knowing ‘how’ to act amiably, regardless of the reasonsĀ and in response to the situation, not on account of its cause, or useĀ its cause as a scapegoat for action.
